Configure Brippo Payment in Hyvä

This guide explains how to configure and use the Brippo payment method for Hyvä stores.

   Integrate Your Brippo Account

   First, ensure that you integrate Brippo with your Hyvä store. To do this, set up a Brippo account and link your banking details. If you already have a Brippo account, connect it to Hyvä and obtain the necessary credentials for integration.

   Enable the Payment Method

   Once the account is integrated, go to the payment configuration section in the store and enable the payment method. Change the activation option to "Yes" to make the method available in your store's checkout process.

   Configure the Title

   Set the title that will appear to customers when selecting this payment method. By default, it displays as "credit or debit card," but you can customize it to reflect the type of payment you offer.

   Choose the Payment Capture Method

   Configure how you want to capture the payment:

   AutomaticCaptures payment when the order is completed.

   ManualAllows you to capture the payment manually after the order.

   By status changeCaptures based on the order status, such as "pending" or "closed."

   This option is crucial for defining when and how the payment will be processed.

   Enable 3D Security

   To add an extra layer of security, enable the 3D authentication option. This requires additional verification from the cardholder, helping reduce fraud and ensuring safer transactions.

   Integrate Digital Wallets

   To offer Apple Pay and Google Pay inside the payment form, set Include Wallets to Yes. Shoppers only see a wallet where their device and browser support it (Apple Pay in Safari, for example).

   Set Display Order

   Customize the display order of Brippo in the list of payment methods with Sort Order. This allows you to control its position during checkout, making it easier for customers to find.

   Style Customization

   The Styling subsection controls how the payment form looks: Theme, Labels, and the Layout choice between tabs and an accordion. Layout matters on mobile; see Tabs or Accordion below.

How payment methods appear at checkout

The Brippo Checkout method is a single option in your checkout's payment list. Inside it, a secure embedded form offers the enabled payment methods: card, Klarna, wallets and the rest. Those inner methods are rendered by the payment form itself, not by Magento, so they cannot appear as separate options in the methods list. The one exception is Checkout (Standalone), which gives a single method its own entry.

The main method with its title logos, plus a Standalone method ("Pay by Bank") as its own option.

Choose which methods show inside the form

Payment Methods Available decides what the embedded form offers:

• Automatic: the form shows whatever is enabled on your Connected Account (managed from the Brippo Dashboard), filtered by the shopper's eligibility.
• Manual: a Payment Methods selector appears and the form offers only the methods you pick.

Layout: Tabs or Accordion

Under Styling → Layout the embedded form offers two presentations. Tabs (the default) shows the methods side by side; Accordion stacks them as rows. With several methods enabled, narrow screens truncate tab names down to their logos, so Accordion is the better choice for mobile-heavy stores.

Tabs on a phone: with five methods, Klarna is reduced to its "K" logo.

Accordion on the same phone: every method keeps its full name.

Title Logos

Title Logos selects which payment logos appear next to the method title in the checkout list (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, the wallets, Klarna and so on). No theme customisation is needed to control the icons.

Give a method its own option: Checkout (Standalone)

Checkout (Standalone) is a separate Brippo payment method that shows one payment method as its own entry in the checkout list, with its own title and sort order: Klarna with its own radio button, for example, instead of living inside the card form. One Standalone method can be configured at a time.

1. In Stores → Configuration → Sales → Payment Methods → Brippo Payments, open Checkout (Standalone).
2. Set Enabled to Yes and give it a Title — this is the name shoppers see in the list.
3. Pick the Payment Method it presents. The selector lists the same methods as the main form (Card, Klarna, ClearPay, Pay by Bank, Billie). It appears once the main method's Payment Methods Available is set to Manual.
4. Set a Sort Order, save, and flush the cache.

The method then renders exactly like the embedded form, but limited to that single payment method. Remember to remove it from the main method's Payment Methods selection so shoppers don't see it twice.
