Reconciling Exported Orders with Bank Transactions in Xero

If the bank account configured in Xero does not support Bank Feed, transactions must be imported manually. This page walks through the CSV import and reconciliation flow.

Import the transactions in Xero

Follow these steps in Xero to start a manual statement import:

  1. 1

    Select the configured bank account.

  2. 2

Go to the Manage Account menu.

  3. 3

Choose the Import a Statement option.

From there, Xero will allow you to download a CSV template, which must be manually filled with the transaction data obtained from Brippo's Payouts section.

Required CSV fields

Each transaction must include the following fields properly filled out:

FieldDescription
DateTransaction date.
AmountTransaction amount.
PayeeWho received or sent the payment.
DescriptionFree-text description of the transaction.
ReferenceReference identifier used to match the Brippo order.

Reconcile against Brippo orders

Once the transactions are imported via the CSV file, return to the Xero dashboard. A notice will appear indicating the number of transactions pending reconciliation — clicking it takes you directly to the transaction list.

Automatic match

Transactions appear in green

If the CSV data was correctly uploaded, the transactions will appear in green, indicating an automatic match. Simply click OK to confirm the reconciliation.

Manual match

Transaction doesn't match

If a transaction doesn't match automatically, manually assign it from the list of unreconciled transactions, ensuring the amount, date, and reference match the orders exported from Brippo.

i
If many transactions fall through to the manual side, double-check that the Reference column in your CSV matches the order references coming out of Brippo's Payouts export.
